SMART AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY

Peters Construction Co. leverages innovative technology to maximize land usage while helping to protect the environment. We're busy modifying and improving the site utilities and moving the earth for the new residence hall complex at Western Michigan University. A key component of the project will be utilizing over 10,000 square feet of its paved parking surface to cover an ADS Stormtech™ underground storm water detention system. This design will allow them to fully utilize the surface of their property while managing their storm water and protecting valuable water resources.

There's a lot more to the project though.

MLive Article on Redevelopment of Former Kmart Site in Comstock Township

Al Jones did a recent MLive piece on the construction of a new Kalamazoo East Menard's store near the intersection of Gull and Sprinkle Roads in Comstock Township. Although the article did not mention the site development contractor by name, the photographs included in the article make it fairly clear this is another Peters Construction Co. project.

Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine

Peters Construction Co. is very proud to have been an integral part of the redevelopment of a former MPI Research facility into the new medical school for Western Michigan University. Named for Homer Stryker, MD a Kalamazoo orthopaedic surgeon, medical device inventor/innovator, and founder of the Stryker Corporation, and located on property originally acquired by W.E. Upjohn to begin the Upjohn Company, this remarkable project is the culmination of years of both public and private collaboration, commitment, and support. The soon to be completed facility will serve as a testament to the possibilities that can be achieved through such concerted cooperation.
